INSURANCE AGENT

Matt grew up in the Lansing area and graduated from Olivet College in 2009. After college, Matt enlisted in the U.S. Navy where he served our country for four years before moving back to Michigan to work as a police officer and K9 handler. After Matt’s K9 was medically retired, he transitioned into the insurance industry and moved to southwest Michigan to start his family business, The Swab Agency, a Farm Bureau Insurance agency in Bridgman. Matt and his wife, Marissa have three children, Pilot, Lux, and Eleni. Matt is very passionate about serving his clients and spending time with family and friends.  

OFFICE MANAGER

Tammi grew up in northwest Indiana and graduated from Purdue University. She and her husband lived abroad as missionaries in Kenya and Haiti before moving to southwest Michigan where they are raising their five kids and a menagerie of small farm animals. In 2018, Tammi joined Farm Bureau as a customer service rep. She enjoys getting to know the clients and helping families navigate their policies to best fit their personalized needs. In her free time, Tammi enjoys watching her kids play soccer, baking, and reading.

Marissa and her husband Matt (agency owner) have three kids that keep them busy between wrestling season and staying active outdoors with boating, fishing, or enjoying the beach. She loves working at The Swab Agency because it is meaningful and directly impacts individuals and families, whether providing them with peace of mind or helping them recover from difficult situations. The close-knit nature of the local company means she gets to build strong relationships with clients and coworkers, creating a supportive and collaborative environment. It’s also rewarding to be part of a company that genuinely cares about its customers and is committed to offering personalized, trustworthy service.

Lyssa and her husband have three kids that keep them busy year round. She finds deep purpose in her work at The Swab Agency, where every day presents an opportunity to make a real difference in people’s lives—whether by offering peace of mind or supporting them through challenging times. Being part of a locally rooted, close-knit team allows her to form lasting connections with both clients and colleagues. The collaborative, caring culture at the agency is something she values greatly. It's especially fulfilling to contribute to a company that prioritizes trust, personalized service, and genuine care for its community.

SALES PRODUCER

Emily and her two daughters love to be outdoors and at the pool! She is a NASM Certified Personal Trainer and Nutritional Coach and spends a lot of time in the gym. What she loves most about working at The Swab Agency is knowing that the work truly matters. Whether helping families navigate tough times or giving clients the peace of mind they deserve, she takes pride in being part of a company that puts people first. The small, community-focused team fosters strong relationships and a supportive atmosphere, making every day feel meaningful. For her, it’s more than just a job—it’s being part of a company that values integrity, personal connection, and exceptional service.

CHIEF MORALE OFFICER

Turk is our resident ball chaser, nap specialist, and ambassador of joy. As Chief Morale Officer, Turk ensures that everyone in the office gets their daily dose of smiles, spontaneous cuddles, and the occasional reminder to take a break and go outside. When not supervising snack times or alerting us to passing squirrels, Turk can be found curled up in sunbeams or performing zoomies. With unmatched energy and unconditional loyalty, Turk keeps team spirits high and stress levels low.
